Updates on Stuff

I guess I forgot to include updates on some stuff ...

My tootsies are feeling much better. They are still healing and look a bit funky. I may be making an appointment to make sure they're healing right, because I'm not sure.

I've spotted some Daewoos since the last one posted, but recently there's been a dry spell. I haven't checked yet, but I think that one of them was a duplicate.

I'm doing my laundry after ... I think almost 3 weeks. It was pretty amazing how long I went without washing stuff. Well, I did do a load of my delicates once in between --- mostly my skirts for school.

I have a pair of jeans to hem as well as two pairs of pants. I've had the pants since mid-August and haven't hemmed them yet. I hate hemming stuff because I'm so afraid that I'll get it wrong. I'm looking into taking them somewhere to be hemmed. Eck.

Sarah and I recently became charter members of the SARCRASA (Sarah and Rachel Cat Rescue Association of San Antonio). We've pretty much adopted Sam, the orange kitty who we were feeding and subsequently caught last spring/summer. He's doing really well and is such a sweetie.

Yesterday when Sarah and I were arriving home from shopping, we noticed a black and white cat sniffing around our front door and car-port. Upon calling the requisite "Here, kitty kitty", she came right up to each of us. I told Sarah that I thought she'd let me pick her up. So I did. Now we have a kitty living in my room. We call her "our guest" so we don't get attached. We have to keep her separated from the other cats because she hisses at them rather enthusiastically when she sees them. When Baxter and I were at the vet today (long story), I asked if he knew anyone who wanted a cat. Short answer is no, and it's probably not going to happen any time soon. Ack. Found cat posters will be going up tomorrow morning and Sarah and I are going to advertise her at work. I'm going to try to con Mom and Dad into helping us. Six cats is WAY too much. I'd miss Sam, but I think we have too many cats.

Last thing -- my car is in the shop. Again. It barely cranks and won't start. If I'm lucky, it'll be the battery. If not lucky, it's the alternator or some other expensive part of the car that I'm not familiar with. Arg.

The good news in my life is that I'm going to the San Antonio Temple on 11/16 to recieve my endowment. If anything else positive happens, I'll let you know.
